It’s here! It’s here! It’s here! It’s here! Also, it’s here!

It only took six days to get here. Longest. Six. Days. Ever.

[Not all of my birthday cash went to bills -- just ~72 pct. of it. And I had more to say about the SHLF shirt and the other thing I bought with my not-going-to-bills birthday money, but that will have to wait.]

From “Secret Crowds,” Angels & Airwaves, I-Empire, 2007:

If I had my own world,
I’d build you an empire
From here to the far lands,
To spread love like violence.

Let me feel you, carry you higher.
Watch our words spread hope like fire.
Secret crowds: Rise up and gather.
Hear your voices sing back louder.

(Rest of the lyrics here.)

I forgot there’s a video!

I’m finding it isn’t always easy to “spread love like violence” and “spread hope like fire,” but I’m working on it.

Time to head inside. I’ve spent the last hour and a half on the balcony — the neighbors’ blinds are closed this morning, thank goodness — and most of the last hour and a half has been occupied by nothing except just being here.

I really like the after-work media blackout — no email, no computer, TV on mute, and as little time on my phone as possible — and this has been a nice extension. I could get used to it! The weather’s nice, the sun is finally up, the birds are loud but not annoyingly so. I’d much rather stay here than go to work, but the faster I get there, the faster I can get home and back to enjoying this.

Your mission today: SLLV/SHLF, of course! (And hug someone, just for good measure.)
