Hi, I’m Kate! (Bet you figured that out already, didn’t you?) I’m a thirty-something newspaper editor and social media specialist who enjoys unconventional wisdom and stuffing new knowledge into my brain.
Five things I can’t live without: my cats (Fred-Kitty and Joe-Kitty), red pens, eyeglasses, broadband and my piano. I’m INFJ and rather Type A. I work well on deadlines, though I prefer to work ahead of them. If I could pick a sixth thing I couldn’t live without, it would be anything recorded by Ben Folds.
I’m incredibly shy when I’m around strangers and incredibly not when I’m around friends. I drive really slow, watch too many cartoons and am guilty of playing loud music. I likely will regret this later in life.
I love cats, sunsets and my little circle of friends; like tea, socks and cold weather; dislike hotel pillows, sad movies and answering the telephone; and hate calamari, chalkboards and pretentious people. I can play the piano but barely read music. I don’t travel as much as I’d like. I once fed bananas to a giraffe. This is of no importance to you.
I am smitten with clever turns of phrase, good songwriters and anyone who makes me think about things in a different way.
I also like dinosaurs.
